I have been reading three amazing books by autistic authors: ‘Late Bloomer’ by Clem Bastow, ‘Letters to My Weird Sisters: On Autism and Feminism’ by Joanne Limburg, and ‘Social Queue’ by Autistic author Kay Kerr.
Cassie Shanahan is a neurodivergent writer and research student. She is completing a Master of Research degree at Macquarie University, where she also completed a Master of Creative Writing. Cassandra is interested in the literary representation of autism and motherhood. She is currently working on her first novel and editing a collection of life writings by autistic mothers.
